Instructor Tash's full time job is Program Director for a water safety nonprofit called No More Under. She builds free learn-to-swim programs for under-resourced children to encourage equity in aquatics.The statistics surrounding aquatic accidents are steeped in discrimination, systemic racism and financial exclusion. In an effort to rectify wrongs, past and present, No More Under prioritizes the families and children most in need of their services to directly address the disparities.

 

Drowning is THE leading cause of accidental death for children aged 1 - 4 in the United States. 

 

The U.S. loses 11 school buses of children to drowning every year... Nearly 1000 children. Plus, for every child who dies from drowning, another eight receive emergency care for non-fatal drowning.
