WATER WATCHER is an app that helps you keep your eyes on the water and not your phone in order to support safe swimming and drowning prevention. After you agree to the critical responsibility of being a water watcher, a timer is set and you can set your phone down, watch the water until the timer goes off. If an emergency arises you are able to call for help or be guided through CPR if necessary. There are resources to guide you through CPR and helpful reminders of the facts and statistics around drowning. This app helps you stay focused and possibly save a life.
BE A WATER WATCHER
A Water Watcher is a responsible adult who agrees to watch the children in the water without distractions, socializing, or use of their phone. Ideally, the water watcher is wearing a badge so that they can be recognized and can pass the badge onto the next Water Watcher. Regardless of a badge, please make sure to designate someone to watch the water at all times.
